Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron – hypercar company Bugatti (part of the concern Volkswagen), officially presented to the public in 2005. The fastest production car until 2013. Production models and 16.4 Super Sport is completed.

Modification Super Sport summer of 2010 set a record maximum speed for production cars in the 431 km / h. The history of this car started with a demonstration at the Tokyo Motor Show 1999 concept car EB 18/3 «Chiron» with a 6.3-liter 555-horsepower engine, built by the formula W18 with three blocks of 6 cylinders each. Engaged in the design studio ItalDesign Italian Giorgetto Giugiaro (Giorgetto Giugiaro). But VW chairman Ferdinand Piech was dissatisfied: the car was unsuccessful, it was relatively weak, bulky engine, and appearance – more luxurious than sporty.

At the Geneva Motor Show 2001 at booth Bugatti Automobiles SAS has been exposed already pre-production under a new name Bugatti EB 16/4 Veyron (new coupe was named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron legendary winner of 1939, on the daily races, held at Le Mans car brand Bugatti 57C. The car is not only changed its name, it was practically all new, from the engine, comprising two V-shaped eight cylinder blocks (four blocks at each cylinder 4) to the unusual sports body, fully developed in Volkswagen Helmut Varkusom (Hartmut Warkuss).

Serial production of the model outlined in 2003. Soon, however, Ferdinand Piha as chairman of the Volkswagen Group succeeded Bernd Pischetsrieder (Bernd Pischetsrieder), and in December 2003 became the president of Bugatti Thomas Bscher (Thomas Bscher), replacing Karl-Heinz Neumann. All this greatly shifted time and only in September 2005 out of the gate newly built factory in Molsheim, came the first production Bugatti Veyron EB16.4.
